About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our LFC Team as a Kit Assistant!
The purpose of this role is to help co-ordinate the daily needs for kit and equipment by working across the kit and laundry departments to provide an elite service to all staff and players working at the Academy.
What will you be doing?
The main job accountabilities are:
- To provide support to the kit manager in all areas of the kit management operation.
- Operate and coordinate the Academy laundry services within the required schedule – wash, dry, fold, store and support.
- Being responsible for all preparation of the training kits and match kids for Academy squads.
- Daily stock control management within the laundry and quality control on all garments.
- Meeting all kit printing requests including match and training kits.
- Supporting the Academy squads when required, including travelling to home and away fixtures and covering training sessions.
- Daily distribution of all kit and equipment for players and staff.
- Maintaining records of all trialist kit that is issued.
- Maintaining records of all daily duties including cleaning and stock control.
- Providing support to the kit manager on all daily duties.
- Liaising with coaches regarding match kit requirements.
- Performing daily checks on footballs and other relevant equipment for all Academy squads.
- Providing support and stock control measures for all kit deliveries received to The Academy.
- Using a heat press to print both training and match kits.
- Assisting with the allocation of training and travel kit for all players and staff.
- Carrying out all other kit and equipment related tasks deemed necessary by the Academy Kit Manager.

Who are we looking for?
To be successful, it is essential that you are able to work unsociable hours including evenings and weekends. Due to the business requirements of this role, you must have a clean driving license and flexibility to travel nationally and internationally. You must be computer literate, have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.
It is desirable that you have previous laundry or kit experience or have previously worked in an elite sporting environment. Awareness of safeguarding and/or a recognised safeguarding award is also desirable.

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week on a 5 days from 7 basis. Your main base will be our Academy, which is located in Kirkby, Merseyside.
