About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC Foundation team as a Sport Development Coordinator. In this role you will deliver a variety of sport sessions across LFC Foundation sports programmes in schools and community settings. You’ll also be responsible for the day to day running of sports programmes.
What will you be doing?
- Deliver the projects in line with the project plan ensuring all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are met.
- Ensure Health & Safety and safeguarding standards are adhered to.
- Ensure Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is considered in all decision making.
- Work closely with local and regional sports clubs, National Governing Bodies (NGO’s) and partner organisations.
- Support the development of all levels of sporting pathways and opportunities for young people in various sports.
- To share all LFC Foundation provisions suitable to target participants.
- Deliver and support competitive and non-competitive opportunities and events across LFC Foundation.
- Ensure effective collection and recording of all funder requested data.
- Provide reports and analysis of all sports provisions to strict deadlines.
- Support the creation of a marketing plan to successfully support sports provisions.
- Ensure case studies, PR opportunities and social media content are regularly implemented in line with Club, and Foundation guidelines
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programmes.
- Line manager responsibilities.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you must have experience planning and delivering sports sessions to young people, including experience designing sport-based curriculums. You must also have experience of organising and delivering tournaments/events, as well as having experience delivering continuous professional development (CPD) to key coaching and teaching partners. Experience in line management is desirable.
You must hold a minimum of one level 2 Sports Coaching qualification. It is also desired that you will hold the following qualifications; Sports related university degree, Level 1 FA Coaching qualification (Introduction to Football), FA Coaching Disabled Football qualification or any other relevant qualification.
You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the sport sector, sports clubs across the Liverpool City Region and Local/National Governing Bodies. You will have a basic level of project coordination and be proficiency with Microsoft Office programmes. You’ll also have excellent stakeholder engagement skills with both internal and external.

This is a full- time fixed-term contract opportunity for an initial 12-month period, working 35 hours per week on a 5 from 7-day basis. Your main base will be Anfield Sports Community Centre, Liverpool however the post holder will also be required to work from other locations across Merseyside and be willing to travel within England and Wales.
