About the role

Liverpool Football Club have 2 exciting Sous Chef opportunities for our kitchens on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week on a 5 over 7 days basis (including some evenings and weekends around match days).

Based at Anfield Stadium, although traveling between our sites may be required.

  • Senior Sous Chef

Main Responsibility

As a Sous Chef your role will be to supervise the day-to-day kitchen operations and staff, whilst working closely with the Food and Beverage management teams to continually improve guest and associate satisfaction. Previous experience within large scale catering is preferred.

 

  • Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • Knowledge of menu composition
  • Purchasing and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • Understanding of all Catering operational procedures
  • Knowledge of overall operations as they affect kitchen and related areas
  • Ability to effectively manage labour productivity
  • Knowledge of purchasing, inventory controls, supplies and equipment
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and safety standards
  • Financial management skills e.g., ability to understand P&L statements, manage operating budgets, forecasting, and scheduling
  • Good presentation and platform skills
  • Good communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and safety standards.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Have previous experience within large scale catering
  • Be flexible in hours of work and able to work at weekends
  • Be able to participate actively in training activities
  • Have the ability to work within a team and a pressured environment
  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Possess a basic Food Hygiene qualification
  • Have knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene policies
  • Have knowledge of COSHH.
