About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our LFC Foundation team as a Senior Youth and Schools Coordinator. This is an exciting post to support the delivery of the LFC Foundations’ current Onside Youth and Schools provision. In this role you will support the Youth and Schools programme across the Merseyside and Northwest region.
You will support young people who are marginalised ‘at risk’ of offending behaviour and those who are at risk of not fulfilling their potential. Provision will aim to develop their personal skills, knowledge, and attitude to succeed in life.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting programme manager with planning, design and future planning curriculum and delivery mode
- Supporting the wider Youth Intervention Department with planning, design and future planning curriculum and delivery model.
- Have line management responsibility for the delivery team.
- Report writing and evidencing impact on a regular basis.
- Work in line with the business plan ensuring all KPIs are met.
- Create case studies and PR opportunities are regularly undertaken in line with Club and Foundation guidelines.
- Provide content for LFC Foundation social media.
- Update LFC Foundation’s reporting database.
- Take responsibility for the delivery of the Onside programme in a designated cohort of schools.
- Plan and prepare prior to each session using the PL Primary Stars templates and ensure that careful considerations are made for all abilities, ages and SEND considerations.
- Manage and maintain relationships with school leads and work closely with them to support all identified young people.
- Develop a programme timetable which encourages and supports young people to achieve the set objectives.
- Deliver further support to identified young people through, one-to-one mentoring sessions and engagement with family members, when required.
- Communication with school leads to understand each individual student, behaviour, or support plans.
- Share best practice, with school and LFC Foundation staff to further enhance the curriculum delivery.
- Ensure the programme encourages development for young people focusing on mental health, positive behaviours, school attendance and education attainment.
- Always adhere to LFC Foundation’s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures.
- Always adhere to each individual schools Safeguarding Policy and Procedures.
- Ensure all activities are correctly monitored with the appropriate risk assessment and health and safety measures.
- Ensure the LFC Foundation Theory of Change and Outcome Framework is adhered to through strategic monitoring and evaluation processes.
- Ensure that the monitoring and evaluation processes are conducted accurately and effectively in line with the LFC Foundation reporting procedures.
- Ensure that continual quality assurance procedures are maintained, ensuring the programme delivery is delivered to a high standard.
- Self-evaluating each session to underpin strengths and areas for improvement within own practice and curriculum.
- Manage Safeguarding across the programme ensuring staff are following all LFCF Safeguarding procedures.
- Manage the risk management across each individual school to ensure the safety of all stakeholders.
- Build relationships with new stakeholders throughout the Liverpool City Region, such as Merseyside Police and local community organisations.
- Support further areas of the LFC Foundation, when required.
- Deliver bespoke interventions to individuals or cohorts.
- Support holiday camps and half term activation when needed.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you must have a proven track record of delivering in schools to young people of all ages and abilities, including an understanding of different teaching and learning styles. You will hold a qualification in teaching or education and a Level 1 in safeguarding young people. It is desirable to have experience delivering education/classroom-based lessons and previous experience line managing. You’ll be able to manage internal and external stakeholders, showcasing your communication skills.
You will have the ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively, as well as the ability to perform under pressure and adapt accordingly. You’ll have a sound understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion and its application in the role. You will have a passion to work with young people, within the community to create a change and a commitment to continual professional development.
Why should you apply?
This is a full-time fixed-term contract opportunity, working 35 hours per week on a 5 from 7-day basis. Your main base will be Anfield Sports and Community Centre. However, the role will involve some work traveling to other locations across Merseyside.
