Senior Manager – Design

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Senior Manager – Design. The main purpose of the role is to drive international sales growth and a positive brand reputation within all LFC retail channels, through the leadership of product design, in line with the overall product strategy and financial goals.

 

What will you be doing?

 

As the successful candidate you will expected to:

 

  1. Define the design strategy and input into the overall product strategy.
  2. Be responsible for the detailed and accurate commercial design of all LFC products and packaging.
  3. Manage the design team and their performance.
  4. Provide leadership regarding the approval of designs and work schedules of the design team.
  5. Achieve the sustainability goals of the department, through the ongoing development and improvement of product and packaging design.
  6. Drive sales within global retail partners by leading the creation of seasonal product catalogues.

  

Who are we looking for?

 

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

Essential Knowledge

 

  • A proven ability to lead and execute a design strategy across multiple product categories
  • Significant experience of clothing and hardware design and development, within a global sports or lifestyle brand
  • Expert knowledge of design packages, including Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Outstanding product knowledge across the LFC product categories
  • Significant experience of graphic design
  • Varied experience in people management and leadership roles
  • Highly developed influencing and presentation skills
  • Commercial awareness and knowledge of the global competitor market
  • Knowledge of a diverse range of hardware products

 

 

Essential Functional / Technical Skills

 

  • Substantial experience of delivering new product ranges and contributing to the commercial success of an organisation
  • Degree within a design related discipline 
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent time management
  • Ability to present accurate information in a clear manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and working on multiple priorities
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office packages 
  • A keen interest in the business of football

 This is a hybrid working role with the office based in Prescot, Liverpool
