Retail Store Manager, Liverpool One Store

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Store Manager to join our Flagship Liverpool One Superstore. You will have full accountability for the full P&L whilst motivating a large team to consistently deliver high standards of performance, enabling store targets to be exceeded on a regular basis.

The Liverpool One store is in the heart of the city and following a recent refurb it delivers a brand-new concept spread across two floors that offers everything from club merchandise, fashion, and special edition products to signed collectables displayed in a brand-new gallery viewing area.

Our retail teams have created innovative campaigns with LeBron James, Nike and most recently with Converse, which included a new limited-edition capsule collection with a celebration of the diverse and creative nature of the club’s beating heart – it’s supporters. 

What will you be doing?

  • Leading the store, making smart commercial decisions to drive sales and generate revenue. Working in conjunction with the Director, Retail Stores to determine the strategic direction of the store and leading the implementation of these initiatives.
  • Ensuring that you drive the store`s excellent performance and achievement of the EBITDA, through commercial decision making, managing and tracking costs against budgets, driving store standards so that the store is consistently performing in all areas, including Visual Merchandising, Customer Service and Compliance (inc audits)
  • Day to day management of the store, including key holder responsibilities and management of store priorities and KPIs. This will include casual, temporary and seasonal staff members.
  • Customer service observations and floor walks to ensure we maintain high store standards and directing the team to implement any actions including store visual presentation
  • Overseeing and accountable for shopfloor moves and any promotional activities and product launches, for example Kit launch and Christmas.
  • Coaching and developing your team.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role, you will have previously experience working within a managerial position within a fast-paced retail environment. It is vital you are a strong leader with excellent organisational skills and able to manage, motivate and drive a large team day to day. Within this dynamic role, you will have previous great store and retail operations knowledge, including the experience to go with it. 

You’ll have excellent product knowledge and the awareness of what makes an excellent shopping experience for our customers and how to deliver this. You will have strong numerical/analytical skills and the ability to interpret figures to make smart commercial decisions, whilst controlling budgets and labour costs. The right candidate will be able to build effective, strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders whilst understanding the importance of working with other departments such as our distribution centre and merchandising team to run a smooth operation.

This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week, on a 5 from 7-day basis. Your main base will be our Liverpool One Store which is close to local bars, shops and restaurants and has great views over the River Mersey.
