Programme Senior Coordinator (Employability)

About the role

Liverpool FC Foundation is offering an exciting opportunity to join the delivery team to deliver high-quality employability programmes to provide life-changing opportunities in the most deprived areas, helping to raise aspiration and job prospects for all participants. This role will support the development of LFC Foundation’s employability programmes across the Liverpool City region. The role holder will also support the Employability Coordinators to deliver programmes to the highest possible standard and assist in their professional development.

What will you be doing?

  • Create curriculum and work with external partners to deliver employability programmes that both up-skill and raise the aspiration of young people.
  • Support the management of the team through professional development visits to provide support and feedback and ensure high-quality delivery from the employability team. You will also identify and deliver training sessions.
  • Identify and recruit young people, working alongside the Foundation’s marketing team.
  • Manage programme logistics include venue-management, transport, food and accommodation.
  • Support the Employability Programme Manager with funding bids and reports
  • Ensure that the monitoring and evaluation framework is carried out effectively to ensure data is captured accurately and take responsibility for regular reporting for the team
  • Facilitate work experience placements that support both the young person and the employer.
  • Manage the risk across employability programmes to ensure the safety of all young people and staff.  
  • Continually carry out the quality assurance procedure to ensure consistent delivery of a world-class programme.
  • Incorporate the highest safeguarding practices into all your work. 

Who are we looking for?

It’s vital the successful candidate has experience of effectively planning and delivering educational sessions. You will have experience of working with vulnerable adults and knowledge of mentoring in a youth work context. You will also have experience managing employees. 

We’re committed to safeguarding young people, so the candidate must also have a level 1 (or higher) qualification in safeguarding young people, and a strong understanding of good safeguarding practices when working with vulnerable young people. We’d love to hear about any experiences you may have demonstrated this if you’re able. Similarly, we also aim to be the most inclusive football club, so the candidate must be able to demonstrate understanding of inclusive youth work practices.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills as part of this role. It’s also important to be able to identify and evaluate successes and areas for development. A good knowledge of local industry and experience in signposting young people to further opportunities and competency of the Microsoft office packages will also be essential for the successful applicant.

This is a 2 year full-time fixed term role, working 35 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days, working over some weekends. This role is based in the Anfield Sports and Community Centre in Liverpool; however, the role will involve some work traveling to other locations across Merseyside from time to time and occasionally further travel across England and Wales.
