Operations and Staffing Specialist, Museum and Tours

About the role

We are looking for an individual who is adaptable and has a practical, hands-on approach to join our Museum & Tours team as an Operations and Staffing Specialist, Museum and Tours. You will be responsible people and rota management which includes the planning, organizing and scheduling all stadium tours staff. To ensure that the departments daily requirements are fulfilled to ensure a world class customer experience. In this very varied role where no two days are ever the same, as you will also be responsible for the operational support and stadium tour technology.

What will you be doing?

Operational Support

  • Assist in supervising daily operations of the department.
  • Assist the Operations Manager to develop and maintain consistent operational guidelines for the department and recommend improvements.
  • Address daily operational issues and concerns in a timely fashion and implement working solutions in agreement with internal and external departments/partners.
  • Maintain the Museum & Tour Centre facility as clean, safe and organized.

People and Rota Management

  • Oversee all daily staffing needs and operations of the department.
  • To determine staffing requirements and plan, prepare and product daily rotas and shift allocation in line with business levels.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with identifying staff recruitment requirements and assist in recruiting, payroll, training and performance evaluation.
  • Educate the casual staff teams on best practices, company policies and service excellence standards.
  • Ensuring best practice and develop a productive, profitable and achievement orientated working environment for all staff.

Stadium Tour Technology

  • Maintain and upkeep all technological equipment used for the visitor experience.
  • Liaise with all external partners supplying such equipment to resolve any issues and identify future technological advances and developments on tour.
  • Ensure that all manual equipment included along the stadium tour is maintained in position and in good working order.

Who are we looking for?

This is a hands-on role requiring commitment, dedication and the ability to multi-task and work calmly under pressure to tight deadlines. A flexible approach to working hours is essential including weekends as the Tour & Museum Centre welcomes visitors 7 days per week.

To be successful, you will have experience in a staffing coordinator or similar role within an operational environment as well as experience of staffing & payroll systems. With your good knowledge of Excel and IT systems, you’ll have a confidence to maintain a variety of technologies as well as having strong data and analytic abilities. You’ll be knowledgeable in Health & Safety legislation and have experience in risk assessment and safe working practices. This is a collaborative role so you will have strong stakeholder management skills as well as excellent communication. You will be able to pro-actively as well as be able to take the lead on finding creative working solutions.

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week 5 out of 7 days. Your main base will be our Anfield Stadium.
