About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Marketing assistant on a fixed term contract. The role remit is to assist the Product Operations Senior Manager in the essential work required day-to-day to deliver high quality Product & Proposition Products both domestically and internationally with a specific focus on Sales, Content, Events and Competitions.

What will you be doing?

  • Highlighting opportunities to drive sales across the products. Liaising with the Marketing Team to plan, produce and deliver campaigns during key periods. Using social, outdoor media, email and other key methods.
  • Planning, production and delivery of both written and video content required to support Products with engagement and retention. Creating seasonal content plans and liaising with relevant departments as required.
  • Planning, production and delivery of Competitions required to support Products with fan engagement (focusing on data capture) and retention. Creating seasonal competition plans with required budgets and resource for Senior Operations Manager approval and liaising with relevant departments as required.  Manage prize distribution accordingly.
  • Event Management planning (physical & virtual) required to support Products with fan engagement and retention. Creating seasonal event plans with required budgets and resource for Operation Senior Manager approval and liaising with relevant departments as required.
  • Production and execution of Events (physical & virtual) to support Products ensuring the smooth running of all aspects and events and liaising with relevant departments as required.
  • Budget - Manage all the above against allocated budgets set by Product Operations Senior Manager ensuring best price, use of resource and PO’s raised accordingly. Liaising with external suppliers to ensure costs are within budgets and issues are resolved quickly.
  • Input into the planning and management of cross seasonal activation for members and season ticket holders to increase engagement and ensure retention levels are met. Using experience and knowledge to suggest opportunities as they arise.
  • Responsibility for producing Monthly Product Operations reports so that any issues are raised, and Operations Manager / Product Owners can make informed decisions.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role, you will have a degree in Marketing or business-related equivalent qualification and at least 1 years’ experience in a sales/marketing position. You will have professional sport/ football industry knowledge and experience of managing projects to successful completion. You will be able to build strong stakeholder relationships and able to management stakeholders successfully as well as being able to collaborate with colleagues and external suppliers.  You will have strong attention to detail, organisational and planning skills and able to solve problems on the go. You will have the knowledge to use Microsoft Office packages to high standards, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You will have the ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver quality work.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated with confidence, initiative and drive to succeed. You will be a strong team player and able to work within the goals and targets of a global brand.

This is a full-time fixed term ending on 31/05/2024, working 35 hours per week. Your main base will be our Chapel Street Office which is close to local bars, shops and restaurants and has great views over the river Mersey.
