Apprenticeship Programme

Employability Practitioner Level 4 Certificate  

This apprenticeship role will lead towards achievement of a Level 4 qualification of Employability Practitioner. Training, support and development will be provided in order to help the apprentice progress towards full competence across the required range of activities. Achievement of this qualification at Level 4 reflects the ability to identify and use relevant understanding, methods and skills to complete tasks and address problems that have a measure of complexity. It includes taking responsibility for initiating and completing tasks and procedures as well as exercising autonomy and judgement within limited parameters.

The apprentice will work in the Employability team, with exposure to other areas of the business in order to experience a wide range of activities and situations.

What will you be doing?

  • Work closely with your team to plan and deliver a wide range of activities that young people participate in.
  • Support the Employability team deliver their employability programmes.
  • Working directly with young people to develop their social education by providing programmes of activities, services and facilities and enable them to be heard.  
  • Build relationships with external partners that can lead to effective signposting for young people.
  • To support young people who are 'at risk' or vulnerable to Child Exploitation.
  • Assist management of programme logistics including venue-management, transport, food and accommodation.
  • You will be responsible for raising safeguarding concerns with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and follow all policies held by the LFC Foundation and the community organisation to ensure safety and non-discriminatory practice.
  • You will support the team to capture evaluation data and evidence from programme delivery and effectively contribute to team meetings.
  • You will manage risk by supporting the team to assess the activity and environment and create risk assessments to ensure the activities are safe for all.  
  • Support the day-to-day administration of your community organisation’s youth service.
  • Produce regular case studies / good news stories and contribute to positive marketing of youth work provision, and the Youth Works Apprenticeship programme.
  • Support community partner with fundraising as appropriate 

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Level 3 in Employability or relevant experience.
  • Experience planning and delivering educational youth sessions.
  • Experience in signposting young people to further opportunities.
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults and young people.
  • Competency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency on social media platforms.
  • Understanding of inclusive youth work practices.
  • Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of mentoring in a youth work context
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Commitment to Liverpool FC Foundation’s mission and values

Why should you apply?

This is a Fixed-Term Contract opportunity for an initial period of 26 months, working 35 hours per week, 5 from 7 days with some weekend work required. The role will be based at one of our community partners in Liverpool, however the post holder will also be required to work from other locations across Merseyside from time to time and be willing to travel within England and Wales.
