Inclusion Coach (Part Time)

About the role

Liverpool FC Foundation is offering an exciting opportunity to support in the delivery of our Inclusion programme. You will support the development and delivery of Community Sports Inclusion programmes with a focus on coach support and inclusive curriculum development.

You will have the responsibility to represent the LFC Foundation in a professional manner regarding dress, presentation, personal hygiene, attitude and conduct at all times.

You must be flexible and capable of adapting quickly when needed. You may be required to assist the wider development and growth of the LFC Foundation through activity/roles outside of what is stated below. The role is 20 hours per week across a flexible working pattern to suit the needs of the programmes.

 

What will you be doing?

 

  • Ensure quality and genuinely inclusive sessions are delivered across LFC Foundation community sport programmes.
  • Create inclusive session plans and a coach handbook to support the development of programmes.
  • Provide CPD/mentoring to casual coaches and volunteers.
  • Data capture of participants across the programme.
  • Deliver engaging and inclusive activities.
  • Engage with and deliver sessions with hard-to-reach groups such as refugees, ethnically diverse communities and young people and adults with additional needs and/or disabilities.
  • Engage with local community groups and leaders to promote local inclusive sessions.
  • Support across all LFC projects, programmes and events where required.
  • Ensure session plans and risk assessments are completed to a high standard.
  • Deliver social action sessions and workshops.
  • Record data on LFC Foundation databases to ensure consistent and reliable reporting to funders.
  • Ensure case studies and PR opportunities are regularly collated in line with Club and Foundation guidelines.
  • Provide content for LFC Foundation social media.
  • To undertake other tasks as required.

Who are we looking for?

It’s vital the successful candidate has a minimum of level 1 coaching qualification or equivalent in 2 or more sports. You should also have experience of developing session plans that are inclusive to specific group and supporting the development of community programmes. You will attend meetings with partners and community groups and work with minority groups to engage them into sport and physical activity and promote programmes.

The successful candidate would be expected to keep up to date records for every activity/session on LFC Foundation reporting systems and databases. Knowledge of reporting and case study experience would be advantageous.

It is desirable for the candidate to have a full clean driving licence, experience in mentoring adults and football coaching qualifications.

We’re committed to safeguarding young people, so the candidate must also have a level 1 (or higher) qualification in safeguarding young people, and a strong understanding of good safeguarding practices.  Similarly, we also aim to be the most inclusive football club, so the candidate must be able to demonstrate understanding of inclusive youth work practices.

This is a one-year contract role working 20 hours per week to meet the needs of the programmes with some evening and weekend work required. This role is based in the Anfield Sports and Community Centre in Liverpool; however, the post holder will be required to work from other locations across Merseyside.
