Health and Safety Coordinator

About the role

Here at Liverpool Football Club, we are looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. 

You will assist the H&S Senior Manager in ensuring The Club meets all its health and safety obligations, supporting the team in applying both new and existing legislation, as well as internal procedures. You will also assist managers in creating safe working environments, maintaining legal compliance, and fostering a strong health and safety culture throughout the organisation.


What will you be doing?

  • Assist the Health and Safety Team in developing, implementing, and maintaining the Club’s H&S policies and procedures to ensure legislative compliance.
  • Provide advice and support to managers on all health and safety matters, promoting compliance with legislation and Club procedures.
  • Work with managers to develop their skills in risk assessments, accident investigations, and inspections to encourage a proactive safety approach.
  • Schedule, attend, and accurately document H&S meetings as required.
  • Support accident investigations to identify root causes and implement preventative actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventative actions from investigations, risk assessments, and audits.
  • Assist in monitoring health and safety performance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare health and safety reports to keep stakeholders informed in a timely manner.
  • Support managers in reviewing contractor documentation to ensure safe working practices before work begins onsite.
  • Process accident reports and follow up on actions arising from investigations.
  • Support the H&S Manager in the continual improvement of The Clubs Health & Safety Management Systems, including ISO 45001, and other current standards and legislation.


Who are we looking for?

You will have experience in a similar role and be proficient in Microsoft Office and database management. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships at all levels are essential. An innovative mindset, up-to-date industry knowledge, and confident communication skills (written and verbal) are key.

A Level 3 (or higher) Health and Safety qualification is desirable.

This role is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week on a 5 out of 7 days basis. The successful candidate will be based at Anfield Stadium but may be required to travel to other sites as required.
