HR Onboarding, Compliance Administrator

About the role

We have a key role within our HR Team for a proactive and experienced administrator with an HR or recruitment/onboarding background. Within this role you will have responsibility for overseeing and coordinating the onboarding and vetting process for all new starters, including our safer recruitment roles, and liaising closely with candidates and hiring managers to make sure we provide a high standard onboarding experience.  
 
The role will also drive compliance across other elements of the employee lifecycle such as changes and leavers.  You will also support with implementation of new ways of work for vetting and onboarding compliance that ultimately improve our employee experience, all to ensure the HR processes are easy to deal with whoever you are.
 
What will you be doing?
 
  • Take the lead on our onboarding processes, making sure that our onboarding processes and checks are carried out and documented in a timely manner.
  • Proactively managing the onboarding journey so it provides a strong candidate experience and is timely.
  • Lead on the onboarding element of safer recruitment ensuring all checks and processes, including DBS, have been completed before the start date.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the Club’s Single Centre Record (SCR) for Safer Recruitment roles.
  • Continuous development of our onboarding and vetting processes
  • Point of contact for any audits; coordinating with the wider the HR Services team to gather information together in advance of audit.
  • Support with the movement to an external vetting partner  
  • Support the defining any new processes as a result of moving to new ways of working!
  • Evolve the relationship with vetting partner, coordinating actions and conducting due diligence.
  • Support and process wider HR touchpoints from changes and promotions to leavers.  
  • Be part of the HR Services team answering and / or signposting HR queries
  • Provide administrative support to HR Services and the wider HR teams.
  • Support as appropriate any compliance and regulatory processes (GDPR, Risk, Health & Safety)
  • Take accountability and produce relevant HR KPI’s, reports and data.
 
Who are we looking for?
 
You will be a motivated and driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment, with strong and  proven administration skills and be experienced /managing compliance with HR processes including reference checking, DBS checks, right to work authorisations and professional registrations. You will be aware of Safer Recruitment principles particularly relating to the onboarding process or have worked in an environment that delivers regulated activity. You will have significant experience with right to work checks.
 
 With your collaborative approach, you will have great customer focused skills with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels and be able to demonstrate excellent written & verbal communication skills. With great analytical and problem-solving skills, you will have the ability to work accurately, effectively and confidentially under pressure, and be well organised.

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week. Your main base will be our Chapel Street office which is close to local bars, shops and restaurants and has great views over the river Mersey.
