About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Liverpool FC team as a Global Talent Scout. In this role, you will provide video scouting observations on emerging talent players suitable for Liverpool FC. You will be responsible for filtering referrals from various sources and recommending players for follow up action. You will provide an important filter and extend our reach to support the quick identification of high potential players from around the world.
What will you be doing?
- Create video scouting player reports on fixtures outlined by senior global talent staff.
- Undertake video scouting projects and make clear recommendations about high potential young players.
- Use experience and knowledge to accurately showcase high potential players to global talent staff.
- Work closely with the global talent analysis team to maintain an up-to-date video database on focus players.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will be able to showcase your talent scouting or significant experience working in PDP academy recruitment at a Category 1 academy or equivalent. You will have detailed knowledge of recent global player movement in the emerging talent space and have the ability be make cross comparisons. With your extensive knowledge of LFC academy and 1st team playing squads, you will fuel comparisons and guide recommendations. You can provide high end, bespoke approach to player assessments using the latest technology.
Having stand out ability to use tools available (notably WyScout, Eyeball & iMovie), you can create bespoke technical player assessments and will be experienced in creating video playlists using the aforementioned systems. You can build and maintain core internal relationships, which have a positive impact on the department. You will actively participate in critical CPD events relating to the role and will have a solutions based mindset in all aspects of your role.
Due to the nature of this role, it is important to understand the need to work flexibly to meet the needs of the team. This includes adjusting your work schedule at short notice and/or working unsociable hours
