About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Conference and Events Coordinator to organise and coordinate client events, liaising across all departments and outside partners at the club, aiming to always exceed internal and external clients’ expectations to deliver events synonymous with the LFC brand.
What will you be doing?
- Take ownership of clients and all their event’s portfolio from conception to conclusion, acting as the key liaison with the delivery team and chef/s.
- Help deliver first class events from the first stage of planning, creating the physical event space, signage and displays to hands on management during the events to ensure they run smoothly.
- Source the right room & location within a large-scale flexible venue, creating running orders, suggesting menus & entertainment. Grow, manage and build client relationships to drive increased sales, actively upselling at each business opportunity to maximise revenue.
- Ensure all event details are obtained in a time frame suitable for the highest standard of service delivery.
- Work towards set individual and team targets and KPI’s to drive revenue across key areas.
- Contribute to additional projects & areas including product developments, marketing developments & service delivery standards across the wider events portfolio.
- General administrative duties including answering the telephone and monitoring emails.
- Collect payments and ensure debt is recovered in a timely manner through collecting deposits and balances within company policy.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for candidates with excellent organisational skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude. You will be able to operate well under pressure, maintaining a top quality service in order to bring fresh and innovative thinking to LFC and play a part in driving the group forward on its exciting journey!
To be successful you will have experience of working in a venue-based events office, a property with multiple event spaces and experience in events coordination or a similar role in the events industry. You must be commercially minded, customer focused and passionate about the hospitality industry and delivering a great guest experience, where you are always putting the guests’ needs first with business goals in mind.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure great collaboration with all stakeholders and the ability to maintain a cohesive working relationship with internal departments including Sales, Marketing, Operations, F&B.
We’re looking for someone with a creative outlook to problem solving and the ability to work to strict deadlines. You will be computer literate with knowledge of using events booking software such as Delphi, MS office, salesforce and hotel management systems.
Ideally you will hold a degree level qualification in Events Management or a related subject.
