About the role

Here at Liverpool Football Club, we are recruiting for Casual Match Day Stewards to provide exceptional support to fans at our iconic Anfield Stadium. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the team ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all supporters on match days.

We offer a Level 2 in Spectator Safety to successful applicants who do not already possess it. This certification must be completed within 12 months from your first induction day.


Who are we looking for?

You will be clear and effective in your communication with both supporters and team members. You will have the ability to remain composed in challenging situations and have willingness to go the extra mile to assist supporters and work collaboratively with the team.


What will you be doing?

  • Collaborate with the stewarding team to deliver a safe and secure event.
  • Ensure compliance with stadium regulations by all spectators.
  • Assist with the safe movement and circulation of fans.
  • Prevent and manage overcrowding situations.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to any incidents of disorder.
  • Be visible and accessible to offer support to spectators.
  • Conduct personal searches of spectators entering the stadium.
  • Document and report any recordable incidents with clear written reports.

 

Whist working on a casual agreement with Liverpool Football Club as a Casual Steward, you will be required to work towards a Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety which must be completed within 12 months.

According to the SGSA (Sports Grounds Safety Authority), Stewards must have a Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety (or previous equivalent) or be working towards it. This must be completed within 12 months, dated from the start of their first induction training.
