About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as an Assistant Physiotherapist or Sports Therapist. In this role you will support the LFCW medical team with treatments, injuries and rehabbing players.

What will you be doing?

  • Work in conjunction with Medical Team for the programming and delivery of rehabilitation to all First Team injured players throughout the rehabilitation spectrum from early stage to return to play.  
  • Provide soft tissue treatment as part of the recovery process pre and post training, as required.  
  • Effectively assist in the screening and testing protocols that objectively assess players physical capabilities within a criteria-based rehabilitation.  
  • Take part in CPD and attend in-house CPD training
  • Ensure high levels of professionalism and patient confidentiality  
  • Any other duties that are reasonable and consistent with the nature of the job, as determined by the Medical Team.
  • Maintain contemporaneous medical notes to an excellent standard

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you must have previous experience working in Women’s professional sports as a physiotherapist or sports therapist and have the appropriate governing body registration (CSP, HCPC, SST, BASRAT etc).

You must hold the following qualifications:

  • BSc Degree in Physiotherapy/sports therapy/sports rehabilitations
  • FA Level 4 Emergency First Aid in Football

It is desirable you will hold the following qualifications:

  • FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
  • FA Level 5 Emergency First Aid

You will have the ability and willingness to work unsociable hours, including weekends and possible overnight stays. The ability to deliver and assist with pitch based, late stage and football specific rehabilitations is desired.
