Assistant Store Manager – Step into a Retail Store Manager position

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Store Manager / Retail Store Manager to join our original and first established store in Dublin. This store is moving within the centre to a larger unit in March and will be fitted out in our brand-new concept!

This is no ordinary Assistant Store Manager position - You will have full accountability for the full P&L whilst motivating a large team to consistently deliver high standards of performance, enabling store targets to be exceeded on a regular basis.

Due to internal promotions, this role will evolve into the Store Manager position and therefore requires someone with retail management experience either as a Store Manager or a long term Assistant Store Manager role and ready to make that next step forwards in your career.

Our retail teams have created innovative campaigns with LeBron James, Nike and most recently with Converse, which included a new limited-edition capsule collection with a celebration of the diverse and creative nature of the club’s beating heart – it’s supporters.

What will you be doing?

  • Coaching and developing your team via monthly 1-2-1 conversations, mid-year/end of
  • year reviews, Career mapping, developing the stores bench strength all the while inspiring and motivating the team to be the best version of themselves every day!
  • Leading the store, making smart commercial decisions to drive sales and generate revenue. Working in conjunction with the Territories Manager, Retail Stores to determine the strategic direction of the store and leading the implementation of these initiatives.
  • Ensuring that you drive the store`s excellent performance and achievement of the EBITDA, through commercial decision making, managing, and tracking costs against budgets, driving store standards so that the store is consistently performing in all areas, including Visual Merchandising, Customer Service and Compliance (inc audits)
  • Day to day management of the store, including key holder responsibilities and
  • management of store priorities and KPIs. This will include temporary and seasonal staff members.
  • Customer service observations and floor walks to ensure we maintain high store standards and directing the team to implement any actions including store visual presentation.
  • Overseeing and accountable for shopfloor moves and any promotional activities and
  • product launches, for example Kit launch and Christmas.

 Who are we looking for?

Within this dynamic role, you will have previous store and retail operations knowledge, as well as a commercial mindset to manage store P&L as well as controlling budgets and labour costs

Your background will enable you to motivate and coach a large team day to day to ensure we deliver the very best shopping experience for our customers.

Building relationships with external and internal stakeholders will be key, whilst understanding the importance of working with other departments such as our distribution centre and merchandising team to run a smooth operation.

This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week. Your main base will be our ILAC Store whilst also supporting our store in Swords if required.
